Contemporary E-Commerce Solutions for the Modern Organic Provider
As early as 1990, the couple Günther and Ilse Achleitner converted their farm to organic farming, making them pioneers who completely dispensed with artificial fertilizers and pesticides. Starting in 1998, the couple sold the fruits and vegetables grown on the farm not only in a small organic store on-site but also launched a completely new distribution concept for agricultural products with the "Biokiste," filled with farm products and delivered directly to the consumers' homes.
The success of the Biokiste, which now has around 8,000 subscribers, validated the couple's approach, and so in 2016, they decided to transfer the distribution concept to the online world. For this, the organic specialists brought the digitalization specialist syreta on board.
In 2017, not only did the Biohof Achleitner website go live, but also the webshop, which enabled subscription management for the Biokiste as well as normal shopping. From then on, customers no longer had to convey change requests or pauses in their Biokiste subscription by phone, fax, or email but could easily do it themselves online. In 2020, the Biohof Achleitner app followed, allowing customers to make their purchases or order changes even more easily directly on their mobile phones. Since then, new digital features have been regularly worked on, and Biohof Achleitner is keeping up with the digital times.
