New funding programs for digital projects in Upper Austria

On March 15, 2022, the starting signal was given for a renewed funding program from the Chamber of Commerce and the state of Upper Austria. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are supported to maintain their competitiveness and to enable them to emerge from the crisis digitally strengthened.

The new funding program “DIGITAL STARTER 22” was divided into two focuses and supports Upper Austrian companies that are active WKÖ members and do not themselves offer digitalization services or IT solutions.

The focus "DigiPROJEKT" includes the services "Digital Business Processes," "Digital Market Development," "Intelligent Data Management," "Secure IT Systems/Cyber Security," and "Resource Efficiency through Digitalization/Sustainability." With a funding amount of up to 40% of the total costs or a maximum amount of 4,000 €, projects such as online marketing consulting, website creation or relaunch, social media and search engine marketing, and also projects related to online shops are funded.

In the other focus, the "DigiBONUS" funding system, corporate projects that deal with secure IT systems and cyber security or resource efficiency through digitalization and sustainability can receive additional funding. In the area of "secure IT systems," another 40% or a maximum of 5,000 € is contributed, and in the field of "resource efficiency digitalization," also 40% with a maximum of 1,000€.

Thus, with the new subsidies of the “DIGITAL STARTER 22” program, support of up to 10,000 € can be achieved for your new digitalization project.
