Digital in-store solutions are here to stay
In May 2022, the leading digital signage software provider Grassfish from Austria and the Swedish tech start-up Vertiseit joined forces with the goal of becoming the market-leading platform provider for digital in-store solutions in the DACH region.
At the end of September, following a pandemic-induced break, CIO Roland Grassberger and CEO Johan Lind invited attendees to their first joint Grassfish Summit at Vienna's Museumsquartier. Many industry experts accepted this invitation and contributed to a successful and informative event by sharing their own experiences.
The future of the POS is digital
Alongside information on the new strategic direction of the Grassfish company, there were exciting insights into experiences with the introduction of digital out-of-home areas. For instance, representatives from the Schindler Group discussed the implementation of digital signage areas in their elevators, and Lukas Klockenbusch and Stefan Werner from Lidl International shared their insights and challenges during the extensive rollout of digital signage screens in all European Lidl stores.
Also invited as a speaker was Syreta Managing Director Alexander Palnik, who not only introduced our company on stage but also reported on the successful use of digital signage solutions in our over 20 smart stores.
After numerous inspiring presentations, the summit participants agreed not only that it will become increasingly important in the future to offer customers a comprehensive experience at the POS that links the on- and offline worlds, but also that collaboration between partners and customers must be strengthened. Only if all parties focus on presenting a unique digital in-store concept to the customer will it work and promote customer satisfaction. As digitalization experts, we can only concur with this conclusion. Omnichannel concepts with well-thought-out digital features are indispensable for the future of the POS.
